NEW ‘PLAYERS’ Wanted

The League Season is nearly upon us and player availability is already looking like it might be a bit of a struggle in the early weeks, the club have some great facilities and it would be a shame to have such grand equipment in a gorgeous setting without any players and their families to enjoy it.

We would love to see some new blood at the club and are keen for players of all ages and ability to come along and join in. Any body that is interested in playing cricket whether that be at a competitive level or just for the social laugh afterwards we would be extremely happy to welcome you into the fold.

St Mary Bourne Cricket Club prides itself on offering family friendly social cricket and with the added tranquility of the Bourne Valley. Get in touch if you are interested or know anyone who is interested in playing or pop along to practice nets, Wednesday evenings 6.30pm onwards at The Recreation Ground.

We ‘Look’ Like A Proper Club Now

The new mobile covers have arrived. Just in time for the start of the league season, a big thanks to Phil who took delivery and has sorted out the pipework.

Batting paradises can be expected from now on at the Recreation Ground so I am told.

A big thank you also to the HCB and the England & Wales Cricket Boards EWCT Grant Scheme which enabled us to get NEW matching sheet covers allowing the sides and bowlers runs up to protected from the elements too.

Last Indoor Net Cancelled

For all of those that have been attending Indoor Nets at John Hanson School, the school have contacted us to say that there is an Exam in the Hall on Thursday so they have cancelled our last session.

Therefore weather permitting we shall attempt to net outside from now on. 6pm on wards on Wednesday evenings at The Recreation ground. A good opportunity to get acclimatized with the weather prior to Sundays opening fixtures.

Will also be good to do some catching practice! We all need it!
